Veedersburg, Jan 2 - Wallace Shafer, 71 years old, well know ountain County farmer died this morning at his home near here. He had been in failing health for several months and death was due to a heart atatack. Born Feb 6, 1868 near Alamo, in Montgomery County, the deceased was the son of David and Mary jane Seegars Shafer. He was united in marriage with Jennie Robinson who survives together with a brother, Edward Shafer of Covington and three sisters, Mrs. Sarah Wineir (? = very black mark across some of this) of Montezuma; Mrs. Florence Reisner (?) of Hornersville, Mrs. Martha? Nixon of Waynetown. Funeral services will be at the HC Fishero Mortuary at Veedersburg with the Rev. Charles Howard .. Burial will be made at the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
